Importing a list of names and email addresses into your address book


1. Start with a comma separated text file of the addresses like this (one person on each line):

email, fname,lname
sbailey@pds.org,Steve,Bailey
mbockol@pds.org,Matt,Bockol
etc...

(The first line must contain the column headings)

2. Open your Address Book.  Choose  File...Import...Import Address Book
You will be asked to match up column headings with fields in the address book

3. This will give one entry in your address book for each person in the file.  

If you want to make one list containing several names, you can drag all the new people into one list by following these steps:

4. After following the above steps, sort your address book by "Last Modified".  (click on the words "Last Modified" at the top of the column.)  All the new people will come to the top of the address book.

5. Make a new Personal Mail List as described previously.  

6. Highlight all the desired names and drag them as a group into the new mailing list.
